How to read a Salem rating
Almost every tour in Salem scores between very good and excellent, so the decimal alone will not choose for you. A score on a few dozen reviews can move a tenth of a point with one bad evening in the rain; a score on several hundred barely moves at all. We mark the first kind thin and say so in the row, because a perfect score on four reviews is the least reliable number on this page, and it usually sits at the top of any list sorted by rating.
A few tours have no rating at all. That is not a warning: they are new listings or private tours that rarely collects reviews. We show the dash, keep the button, and tell you what we would book instead if a track record matters to you.
